Our History

Kelley Gallery began in the hearts of Ed and Don Kelley long before it's physical existence...

Ed, after 37 years with the B.N. Railroad, retired. Don, a student of St. Thomas College, had been working in the art world along side his brother, artist Rick Kelley. Upon Ed's retirement they were looking for a new adventure, thus the business venture began.

In 1985 the first gallery opened on 2nd Street in Hudson, WI. The store consisted of 600 square feet and focused mainly on custom framing and wildlife art. Over the years to come Kelley Gallery came to be known as one of the top in its industry for quality, and unique custom framing. The immediate success of the business warranted an expansion one year after opening. They expanded to 3500 square feet. That same year due to high demand we opened another gallery in Stillwater, MN. In 1987 we opened the third gallery in Woodbury, MN. Since then the Stillwater shop has grown into a 3000 square foot gallery spanning three floors. The Woodbury gallery also grew and moved to its current location at City Centre Drive. That year we will also expanded our Roberts frame shop to include on-site framing.

Over the years Kelley Galleries has worked very hard to stay focused on our customers by keeping up with the ever changing trends. We offer varying styles of art ranging  from wildlife to abstract and originals to reproductions. Our framing has always been assembled by our own highly skilled craftsmen at our frame shop. We are dedicated to staying up on all the new techniques and conservation methods so we can handle every framing order individually and keep in mind what is best for your treasures. Along with the high quality works of art and full-service custom framing, our highly trained design specialists can also offer advice on decorating accessories for your home.
